Walk of the Month: The Bolton-le-Sands & Hest Bank Loop

We like to help you explore the area whilst you’re staying with us. For those of you that can get out on foot, we hope our monthly walks help give you a little inspiration whether you visit us weekly, monthly or just once a year.

For the month of August, take in the beautiful sea views across Morecambe Bay and the Silverdale coast with this scenic looped route. Alongside the breathtaking views you will also pass the praying hands shell sculpture.

 

Where to wander this month: Bolton-le-sands & Hest Bank Loop

The details: 

Distance: 4.17 miles (6.71 km) circular

Approx. Time: 1 hour 45 minutes

Terrain: Flat and moderate. The majority of the walk is on a canal tow path and on the beach front which has pebbly sections.

Important info:  Remember to follow the countryside code and to prepare for all weather conditions. Dogs must be kept on a lead when crossing farmland.

The route:

The route starts on Main Road, Bolton-le-Sands, there is parking available on main road.  It is a 33 minute drive to the start of the walk from Riverside. There are eating options in Bolton-le-Sands including pubs, cafes and fish & chips.
