Walk of the Month: September

Where to wander this month: The Westhouse Walks.

The Westhouse Walks is a series of 3 walks ranging from 3.2 miles to 5.6miles in the Parish of Thornton in Lonsdale, close to Ingleton.

These walks take in the spectacular views of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with routes through beautiful woodland (Edith’s Wood)  and St Oswald’s Chuch, well known for it’s connections with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

View the routes here, physical copies of the maps are available from the local tourist information points.

What’s more, these routes come out by the recently re-opened ‘Marton Arms’ Pub in Thornton-in-Lonsdale and it’s well worth the pit stop!
