Things to do in August

As restrictions have lifted a little, a number of local events have found creative ways to entertain the crowds without creating a crowd! If you are looking for something different to do with your friends or family but are nervous of going to certain places then we have 2 events that may just tick the right boxes for you….
  1. Lancaster Lockdown Cinema Club: This fun drive-in cinema club is the perfect antidote for film lovers who fear the cinema at the moment. Showing classic and current films for all ages, you can experience an evening reminiscent of the 1950’s drive-in movies era. The films will be showing until Sunday 16th August and you can find out what is on when here.
  2. Settle Flowerpot festival: This ever popular outdoor festival in the nearby village of Settle is returning this year in a covid-friendly manner from Friday 7th August. Enjoy a stroll around Settle and be amused, entertained and astounded by the fantastic and fun flowerpot displays. This really is outdoor fun for all the family. The flower pot trails will be available from Saturday 8th August. Find out more and see what we’re on about here.
If you wander along to one of these events why not share your experiences on our Facebook page and let others know how much fun you had?
