Halloween in the Dales (25 Oct – 2 Nov)

Ghouls, Flames & Family Fun: Halloween in the Dales (25 Oct – 2 Nov)

As the leaves turn crisp and the nights grow longer, our corner of the Yorkshire Dales comes alive with eerie enchantment and autumnal celebration. Whether you’re chasing ghosts or gathering around bonfires, there’s something for every little monster and grown-up ghoul this October half term.

The main event of the half term calendar is our community bonfire on Saturday  25th October. With food stalls, music, and plenty of sparkle, it’s the perfect way to kick off your spooky week. Tickets are available from a number of local outlets, including reception at Riverside Caravan Park. Find out more about the food, fair and fire here.

Step over the road (the A65!) and discover Ingleton’s Haunted Happenings. Whether you fancy taking a cold water dip or joining in with one of the pub parties, our neighbouring village has some spooktacular fun on offer.

On Friday 31st October you can don your fancy dress and enjoy a moonlight cold water dip. Find out more about the swim, including how to book, here

The Station Inn at Ribblehead is hosting a party on Saturday 1st November (6:00–10:30pm). They invite you to celebrate Halloween with themed drinks and eerie entertainment at this iconic moorland inn. Ideal for adults and older teens looking for a chillingly good night out. Plus, if the weather allows it is a fantastic spot for some star gazing too! Find out more here.

Further along the A65, you can immerse yourself in Kirkby Lonsdale’s creepy charm. With Ghost Stories to enjoy or lessons about spooky dark science the adults can also get lost in the Halloween fun. For families, Bouncefest is running on 30th and 31st October as well as 1st November.

For those who fancy some good old pumpkin picking, head to Greenlands Farm Village. If combining farm visits and spooky happenings is your thing then head further into Yorkshire and visit Thornton Hall Country Park in Skipton as they have a pumpkin packed calendar!

Lancaster and it’s witching history is the perfect destination for the Halloween season. From haunted aircraft walking tours to ghost stories at the Dukes Theatre, you can enjoy learning more about this city. For the families, there is a Halloween trail at the Judges Lodgings and you can find out more about this here

A half-term stay with us is set to be spooktacular! Let us know which trail you wander and if you make it back or not…..
