4th November – 23rd December (selected dates) – Polar Express Train ride: Bolton Abbey steam railway is bringing the magic of the 2004 motion picture to life. Pop on your Xmas PJ’s and sit back and enjoy the ride whilst singing chefs deliver hot chocolate to your seat. For all the details, head to the Embsay & Bolton railway website.
Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th November – Crafts in the Pen at Skipton Auction Mart: 9am – 4pm Sat and 10am – 4pm Sun, Tickets are £6, Grotto, over 230 stalls, festive crafts, onsite parking, under 16’s free entry.
Friday 24th November – Country Harvest Christmas Event: Festive fun from 5:30pm to 8:30pm, Hot food & drink, inflatable Christmas fortress, 30ft helter skelter, snowboard simulator, festive stalls & Tombola. Their Christmas cabin is also open daily for all things festive.
Friday 24th to Sunday 26th November – Lancaster Christmas Market at Lancaster Brewery: top quality food, drink, gifts & fun. Friday & Saturday 3pm – 9pm and Sunday 12pm – 6pm. Live music, Father Christmas.
Saturday 25th November – 7th January – Lancaster on Ice: Ice rink with Ferris wheel, tipi bar, market stalls.
Saturday 26th November – Settle Christmas lights switch on: The festivities start from 12pm, “switch on” & fireworks from 5pm. Christmas Market, Santa’s grotto, bouncy castle, carol singing, brass band, funfair rides, charity stalls & raffle.
Sunday 26th November – Skipton Christmas lights switch on: Kicking off with the Santa Fun run from 10am, there will be the normal high Street market through the day, entertainment from 10am – 5:30pm and lights switch on from 5pm.
Sunday 26th November – Lancaster lights switch on: Headline band Toploader with supporting acts, Father Christmas, Santa Dash. Lancaster city centre from 12pm – 6pm.
Friday 1st – Sunday 3rd December – Kirkby Lonsdale Christmas fair: Chalet village, food, drink & gift stalls, indoor market, entertainment over the weekend.
2nd – 23rd December (selected dates) – Christmas grotto at White Scar Cave: Father Christmas will be in his grotto in the cave entrance, you can also book a full show cave tour, to see the special festive illuminations & effects. Sunday 3rd & Sunday 10th December – Skipton Christmas markets: Festive stalls, local food & drink, festive entertainment from 10am – 4:30pm including live music.
Friday 8th December & Saturday 9th December– Christmas in the Mart at Bentham Auction Mart: Local stallholders, Christmas carol concert, adults £3, children free. 5pm – 9pm Friday, Saturday 10am – 3pm.
Friday 15th December – Christmas party night at Bentham Golf Course: 7pm until late, 2 course Christmas buffet, DJ Denny on the decks, £25 per person.
