Wray Scarecrow Festival runs from Saturday 28th April until Monday 7th May at Wray Village.

‘The villagers of Wray are back this year to create some weird, wacky and wonderful scarecrow creations to surprise and delight visitors’

This ever-popular annual event is a mere 10 minutes’ drive – or a slightly longer bike ride if you feel up to it! – from our park. Visitors can enjoy wandering around the village and discover an array of homemade scarecrows, all made by the villagers and each designed around a theme. This years theme is ‘Lights, Camera, Action!’ Every crevice of the village comes to life with themed creatures creating a fun and engaging trail.

It’s not just about the scarecrows though. There’s a whole host of activities throughout the festival period to keep all ages enlightened and entertained.A full festival timetable, which include maypole dancing, a funfair and even a fell race, can be downloaded here.
