Riverside is a beautiful caravan park in the Yorkshire Dales and we're very proud of it.
We want to ensure everyone has a great time whether you're relaxing on the park or out and about exploring the Yorkshire Dales, Lancashire, Lakes and Forest of Bowland.
The local village of High Bentham is just a short 5 minute walk away. For those of you who are into shopping, you can visit the historic city of Lancaster or visit the market town of Skipton. Kirkby Lonsdale, Ingleton and Settle are also very popular and are all within easy reach by car or public transport.
Relaxing. It's what most of you will be aiming to do. The tranquil nature of the site with everything you need close at hand will help.

Walking. There is a large selection of walks in and around Bentham.
There are books available to buy which outline the common walks and routes.
You can also visit Clapham and Settle, nearby villages with fabulous walking trails such as the Three Peaks, caves and climbing expeditions.
An ideal location for keen walkers of all ages. There are over 100 miles of public footpaths in the local parish alone!
Caving and Climbing.Local attractions such as the White Scar Caves and Ingleborough Caves are open to the public throughout the year. For the climbers, there is a climbing wall in Ingleton, just 5 minutes away along with outdoor specific shops who can supply equipment and clothing. Settle and Malham are also very popular places for local climbers.
For the keener caver and potholer, Ingleton and the surrounding area has many opportunities for adventure.
An example is Gaping Gill. It is one of the unmistakable landmarks on the mountain of Ingleborough in North Yorkshire, a 105 metre deep pothole with the stream Fell Beck flowing into it. After falling through one of the largest known underground chambers in Britain, the water disappears into the bouldery floor and eventually resurges out of Ingleborough Cave.
For peace of mind, there are local cave rescue units based in Clapham who attend to all types of emergencies, but as always, be well prepared and take note of rapidly changing weather conditions.
Scenic Cycling and Mountain Biking. From steady cycling with the family to adrenalin fuelled downhilling, we've got it all.
The local cycle paths stretch for miles, taking you to the coast or through the countryside.
Gisburn Forest (near Slaidburn) is great for walking and cycling, it also offers something for the riders who seek the trails and jumps. The Lakes also offers many cycle routes including Grizedale forest which has a dedicated visitor centre and shops for walkers and cyclists.

For the kids! The main attraction for the children is the on-site outdoor adventure playground, which is imaginatively laid out on small terraces up the hillside behind the reception block yet within sight of the touring area. Completely safe and secure for peace of mind.
They can also sail their dinghies and paddle in the river. There is also an indoor games room with table tennis, pool tables and games machines.
